The American Society of Marine Artists is sponsoring a regional competition for student-age (16-23) artists. Works can be in any medium and depict scenes of any type of body of water, vessel or marine life. Winners will receive art supply gift certificates ($100 first place; $50 second place and $25 third place), along with a one-year Student Membership in ASMA to the overall winner.Works will be judged by Mystic artist Russ Kramer, ASMA president.

Deadline to send entries is July 1. To enter up to two works, take a digital picture of the artwork and save it as a jpeg sized at 200 pixels per inch minimum. Title the jpeg using the following convention: “StudentNameTitleofArtwork.jpeg;” attach the file to an email noting the student’s or guardian’s name, age, mailing address, phone number, email; title of artwork, size and medium; school name, school address, art teacher’s name and email.
