The Avery-Copp House will host a Sea Song Sampler & Ice Cream Social from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 154 Thames St., Groton. The concert is the first event to be held on the riverfront property and will include a Ben & Jerry’s Sundae Bar. Proceeds will support historic preservation and museum education. The event also will celebrate America’s maritime heritage and the U.S. Coast Guard’s 225th anniversary. Chanteyman and raconteur Geoff Kaufman will sing maritime songs and ballads.

Admission is $25 in advance, $30 at the gate. Limited seating will be available. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Reservations are requested. The rain date is July 19.
