    Pulitzer-winning historian to speak in Stonington

    The Stonington Historical Society will present an evening with Dr. Alan Taylor, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian, on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. Taylor will discuss the War of 1812, race and slavery in the North, the economic climate of the era and more.

    The program will take place at the La Grua Center at 32 Water St. in Stonington Borough. All are welcome and the program is free of charge.

    Dr. Taylor is the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation professor of history at the University of Virginia with a specialty in early American Studies.
