Members of the Norwich Historical Society will lead walking tours around the Greeneville section of town on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The tour will begin at 10 a.m. outside of St. Mary’s Church at 70 Central Ave. and will continue to other Greeneville religious institutions such as St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Greeneville Congregational Church, Divine Providence National Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Church and St. Anthony’s Chapel, which is situated on the property of St. Mary’s. The church and congregational leaders will describe the history, architecture and current state of the communities they lead.

At the end of the tour, a light lunch of traditional Portuguese linguica and kale soup will be served at St. Mary’s.
