What, no Yorkies? Well, no, but Mystic Seaport's Winter's Aweigh festivities this weekend will offer up an array of other working dogs doing, well, their work. Among those canines demonstrating their know-how: Newfoundlands on Saturday, Saint Bernards on Sunday and Malamutes on Monday. They'll be on site between 10:15 and 3 p.m.

But showcases of canine capabilities are just part of the weekend's activities.

Visitors can see the exhibit "Ships, Clocks & Stars: The Quest for Longitude," which is on loan from the National Maritime Museum, London, and "Voyaging in the Wake of the Whalers."

The seaport will offer kid-focused fun, too. Youngsters can build a toy boat, listen to stories at the Children's Museum, and look through a sea chest.

    Winter's Aweigh, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Monday, Mystic Seaport, Route 27; $19 for adults, free for kids 17 and under when accompanying a paying adult; (860) 572-0711, mysticseaport.org.
