The Mystic & Noank Library will sponsor a StoryWalk installation at Mystic River Park from Aug. 1 to Sept. 5. The StoryWalk commemorates Groton’s centennial anniversary of the Navy’s Submarine Base and Submarine School. StoryWalk encourages family literacy and physical activity by providing pages from children’s literature along a walking path or park trail.

This year’s StoryWalk features “Super Submarines” by Tony Mitton and Ant Parker. Families can take a scenic tour through the Mystic River Park, while reading a page at a time together and interacting with the story and with each other.
