Lyme Art Association opens two exhibitions on Friday. The 25th Annual Associate Artists Show and Sale highlights various work by associate artist members, including landscapes, portraits, still lifes and sculpture. “Pulled and Pressed” features hand pulled prints by association members and Stonington Printmakers Society members. Gallery manager Jocelyn Zallinger says the associate artist show “includes a variety of subjects, media and styles: paintings or sculptures that capture the range of human emotion, the beauty and grandeur of the Connecticut landscape, or the personal objects and surroundings of everyday life.” The juror for that exhibition is Patricia Shippee, and the juror for “Pulled and Pressed” is Helen Cantrell. The opening reception for both will be 2-4 p.m. Jan. 29, and the shows will run through March 10. The association at 90 Lyme St., Old Lyme, is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed.-Sun.; (860) 434-7802.
