    1990s nostalgia heads to Foxwoods

    Bobby Brown (Matt Sayles, Invision/AP)

The now half-decade ’90s nostalgia trend doesn’t seem to be heading south anytime soon — all things ’90s, from its music (Nirvana, Backstreet Boys, Alanis Morissette) to its comedy shows (“Friends,” “Seinfeld”) to its political climate (Clinton-era politics) are still being worshipped, remembered and reconjured, as if it all might slip away at any moment. Even last weekend, The Oasis Pub in New London held its own ’90s-themed DJ and dance night. And nostalgia for the 20th century’s last decade, I can vouch, has been sweeping European party scenes.

So it seems that Foxwoods, too, is capitalizing on the ’90s fever — putting on their own form of a throwback concert, but for, of course, a heftier ticket price. At least with this show, you’ll get to see some of the top names that set the soundtrack for the decade perform their best hits live.

Acts and hits include Bobby Brown with “Every Little Step” and “My Prerogative”; Mark Morrison with “Return of the Mack”; Tone Loc with “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina”; DJ Kool with “Let Me Clear My Throat;” Crystal Waters with “Gypsy Woman” and “100% Pure Love”; Robin S. with “Show Me Love”; and much more.

    Best of the 90s, 7 p.m., Sunday, Foxwoods’ Grand Theater; $65-$105; 1-800-200-2882.
