Noel Paul Stookey plays The Kate on Friday

Eighty years old and still folking!

In terms of credit, it's accurate to say that the work of iconic folksinger Noel Paul Stookey — yes, he of Peter, Paul & Mary fame (but so much more) — is indeed immortal. Stookey, who's still active as a touring and recording artist, performs Friday in Old Saybrook at The Kate, and expect vitality, melody, political spirit and romantic passion. His latest studio effort, a four-song EP called "SummerFallWinterSpring," is as vibrant a recording as he's released in a while, and there is no shortage of wonderful material available for Stookey to draw from for your delight.
