From the Apple Not Falling Far From The Tree department: 20-year-old Anna Thompson has recently emerged as a local singer-songwriter to be watched - and listened to. Yes, she's the daughter of the well-known Americana musician/composer behind the lively, stylistically ambitious and well-attended "Vince Thompson & Friends" shows throughout the region.

It's very cool, then, that father and daughter have started writing and performing together - and it's a pleasure that Vince Thompson and Anna Thompson are the guests Thursday for The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series. It takes place, as always in the winter months, at New London's Telegraph Records shop.

In January, Vince and Anna embark on a tour that takes them from northern Vermont through Tennessee and Kentucky and all the way to New Orleans. This is a great opportunity to see them before they head out. Expect to hear new material as well as a few surprises.
