    Bears' Fabianski is top seed for ECC girls' tennis tourney

    Stonington's Hannah Fabianski, who finished unbeaten as the Bears' No. 1 singles player while leading her team to an unbeaten regular-season, is the top seed for the 2015 Eastern Connecticut Conference girls' tennis tournament.

    The tournament, hosted by Stonington, runs Wednesday through Friday with the singles and doules finals scheduld for Friday at 3 p.m.

    Fabianski reached the quarterfinals a year ago.the No. 2 seed, St. Bernard's Michaela Abate, was a semifinalist in 2014 before losing to eventual champion Sophia Shi of East Lyme. The No. 3 seed is Waterford's Lauren Rahr and the No. 4 seed is Angela Martin of Woodstock Academy.

    In doubles, Lyman Memorial's Maggie Tarbox and Anna Puleo are the top seeds. Tarbox teamed with Michelle Valliere, who has since graduated, to win the 2014 ECC doubles title. Waterford's Alaina Moger and Sophie Wang are the No. 2 seeds.
