    H.S. girls' basketball: East Lyme edges Fitch 40-37 in ECC Large

    East Lyme — Megan Bauman scored 10 points as East Lyme outlasted Fitch 40-37 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Large Division girls' basketball game Friday night.

    Gabi Murphy had eight points and seven rebounds for the Vikings (6-8, 3-3).

    Taylor Wolfgang had 11 points to lead Fitch (5-7, 2-4).

    In other games:

    • Taty LaFrance Boyce tied her career high with 32 points and added 10 rebounds and seven steals to lead Stonington past Montville 60-40 in the ECC Medium Division. Cameron Dreher had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Bears (11-2, 4-2). Emily Meigs and Brook Lavallie had nine points apiece for Montville (2-13, 0-6).

    • Maddie Porter and Zoe Robert scored nine points apiece in Wheeler's 51-40 loss to Windham in the ECC Small Division. Emma Morgan and Raina Haase had eight points apiece for the Lions (4-9, 1-4).

    • Emily Nelson scored 16 points and St. Bernard defeated Tourtellotte 29-24 in the ECC Small Division. Kara Bassett had 14 rebounds and five assists for the Saints (7-7, 4-1), who are one win shy of qualifying for the state tournament.

    • Sloane Sweitzer had 14 points and Old Lyme won its second straight game, 43-35 over Hyde of New Haven. Jordan Lewis had 12 points and Audrey Gavin 10 for Old Lyme (4-10).

    • Vanessa Kobyluck scored 14 of her 20 points in the second half as Waterford pulled away for a 63-44 win over Killingly in an ECC Medium Division game. Mia Brennan scored all 11 of her points in the fourth quarter, Kazi Walker scored 13, Kayla Jean-Pierre had 10 rebounds and Claire Hurley had five assists for Waterford (11-2, 5-1).

    • Hailey Conley scored 25 points, including three 3-pointers, as Norwich Free Academy defeated Ledyard 52-24 in the ECC Large Division. Julia Lavin had 10 points for Ledyard (8-7, 2-4). NFA is 10-3, 5-1.

    • Windham Tech outscored Grasso Tech 21-3 in the third quarter, pulling away for a 55-31 win over a CSC East Division game. Tabitha Ford had 14 points and Lindsey Murray scored 10 for Grasso (1-14, 0-9), which trailed 24-20 at halftime.
