The Day to begin publishing Spring All-Area teams Saturday

It's the time of the year we at The Day sports department celebrate the athletes we have covered during the school year by selecting all-star teams from the nine spring sports.

Beginning Saturday, we will start publishing The Day’s 2017 Spring All-Area teams as voted on by our sports staff, with each sport featuring an all-star team from our coverage area, as well as a Player of the Year. Videos featuring our Players of the Year can be found on theday.com.

The schedule for publication of the teams is as follows: Saturday, girls' tennis; Sunday, boys' tennis; Monday, girls' track and field; Tuesday, boys' track and field; Wednesday, golf; Thursday, girls' lacrosse; Friday, July 7, boys' lacrosse; Saturday, July 8, softball; and Sunday, July 9, baseball.

It is our privilege to recognize these athletes. We hope you enjoy your summer and we'll see you again in the fall.
