One member of the Town Council feels the Board of Education is unprofessional and the council's chairwoman feels her Catholic school upbringing made her a straight shooter.

Does not the Town Council have a representative at each board meeting? If he/she wasn't there who is at fault? The mayor had his owns representative present, who should have reported what occurred. If neither did their job, it isn't up to the school board to spoon feed them.

Lack of professionalism? Look what the school board has had to do with less each year while maintaining high standards. Although I do not have anyone attending Ledyard schools, I marvel at what they are able to accomplish. I hate to imagine the direction council Chairwoman Linda Davis would take if she had not attended Catholic schools. I can assure her, a significant number of us, without Catholic or any other religious schooling, walk the same path you do.
