Regarding, “Conn College professor responds to reaction to Facebook post” (April 15). Do not college professors have the right to a visceral emotional response when reacting to terrorism? Who of us has not felt outrage when we hear of beheadings, torture, and the genocide of the innocent?

Hasn’t Hamas been designated as a terrorist organization? Doesn’t their charter include the words, “Israel will rise. . .until Islam eliminates it. . . ?” Woe to those who did not voice their anger during the Holocaust when the Jews were taken to the gas chambers. What words would have been appropriate to describe the Nazis? The Nazis were certainly “rabid pitbulls.” The only difference between them and Hamas; is that Hamas has been successfully caged at times.
