Tax system needs a drastic overhaul

Our civilization is facing a major crisis. Our national, state and local governments are facing larger debits than ever before. The problem is being overlooked by legislators. The problem is the tax code.

When humans worked and got paid for physical or mental jobs they paid taxes. Today, robots and computers do many of the jobs better and cheaper. Due to the tax code, prices for these services have risen, with owner and user benefitting, thus resulting in the greater difference between the rich and the poor, including the government.

We must realize taxes and technology will never be on the same page. Let us try to get them in the same book. We must tax usage of technology the way we tax people, for services rendered! This will help the government improve our debit and infrastructure problems. We must also close tax loopholes -- such as allowing money made by U.S. corporations, banks and big businessmen to be sent to tax-free countries around the world -- so that we can reduce tax rates.
