    Nine recommendations to improve I-95

Our experiences using I-95 have been very stressful. We believe the following should be addressed.

    1. Speeding

    2. Tailgating

    3. Weaving

    4. Safer on and off ramps

    5. Governors on all trucks and better regulation of drivers and equipment

    6. More visible highway patrol and more cameras

    7. In emergencies and gridlocks activate our National Guard to help reroute traffic and assist motorists in distress (after all, when one part of our state is in trouble it affects all of the state in one way or another.)

    8. More and better commuter rail service along the shoreline (it could equal a lot less traffic on I-95). I'm pretty sure we would use it and get picked up at our destination.

    9. All violations should result in the highest fines and/or suspension of license.

We are grateful to express our opinion because we know what it's like to be rear-ended on I-95, with all of its ramifications.
