Support from tribes critcal for hospice
Keeping hospice care and bereavement counseling services accessible in our community remains a critical goal of Center for Hospice Care in Southeastern Connecticut. Planning a Hospice House facility where in-patient care will be provided is an important part of this goal. Philanthropic support from members of the community is essential to our plan and also helps us to develop programs and services that enhance the quality of life for terminally-ill patients and their families.
Contributions from leading businesses like The Mohegan Sun help us to provide our regional community with the highest quality care and services. The Mohegan Sun has been a good neighbor, generously and consistently supporting our mission of caring for people and families.
As our neighbors, the tribes face an uncertain future, I am hopeful that our elected officials will do everything within their power to ensure the continued success of the tribes’ business operations in southeastern Connecticut. Without intervention, our region, including community-based organizations like ours, will certainly suffer the consequences.
