Appreciated commentary not gender reference

I was glad to see the submitted op-ed, “Supreme Court majority ignores obvious: Big Money is corrupting,” (May 15), written by Zephyr Teachout regarding the Supreme Court's oblivious stance regarding big money and political corruption. However, I hope the assumption that Ms. Teachout is a man doesn't reflect a sexist attitude on your part toward women holding high scholarly positions, such as a law professors.
