Trump spins plates, Democrats no help

President Donald Trump reminds me of Mr. Platter. You remember him? He spaced vertical rods on a long table each with a spinning plate on top, then frantically chased around trying to keep the plates spinning so they wouldn’t fall off.

The question is: can Trump keep all the plates spinning that he’s setting in motion, especially when Congress places explosive devices on the floor he’s running on?

Well, we can’t answer that at this point. It used to be that Congress wasn’t this divided, so that the opposing sides could find agreeable solutions. Now, the rancor between parties can’t be bridged.

It comes down to the American people maintaining a large enough voting block to gradually restore order. The popular vote favors the Democrats, but the electoral vote favors the Republicans. Democrats do not accept the Constitution as written; therefore they are refusing to cooperate with a president who has a landslide electoral majority behind him. Legally, Mr. Platter has the power to keep the plates spinning.

My feeling is that the Democrats are going to have a hard time winning back those 300-plus electoral votes after obstructing the voter’s wishes behind those votes.
