Grasping at straws

I couldn't help but find amusing the letter, “Don’t forget Pres. Clinton’s pointed finger,” (March 18), that quoted Bill Clinton's famous lie, "I did not have sex with that woman (Monica Lewinsky)." I'm assuming the writer's point was that Clinton lied; so what's the big deal about Trump continually lying. Just goes to prove a point. President Trump's supporters will grasp at any straw to defend their lying commander-in-chief, even if they have to go back to Clinton. How sad.
