I am running for mayor of the City of Groton. I love the city. These are not just empty words for me but represent a heartfelt respect for the people and places that make up the City of Groton. 

I have spent my entire political career focused on the City of Groton. I worked hard the past seven years to help improve the quality of life in the city. I worked to develop a blight ordinance that improved the conditions of several run-down properties. I worked with the Economic Development Committee to streamline the application and permitting process. 

I am dedicated to maintaining level services in the city. Police and fire services are paramount to public safety. Roads and highways are essential for orderly traffic flow in an industrialized area such as the city. I will work with the town to identify areas where shared services are possible in an effort to help reduce the burden on taxpayers. 

I have worked tirelessly to maintain fiscal prudence with our budgets to help maintain level taxes in spite of Town of Groton cuts and Grand List reductions. I ask for your vote on Monday, May 1.
