    Cut elected officials' pensions

I hear in the news how Governor Malloy wants concessions or layoffs from the unions to help save the budget. What about concessions or layoffs from the non-union personnel?

Want to really save some money? Cut all the pensions of the elected positions, representatives, senators, commissioners, governor, etc. These were not meant to be lifetime jobs with pensions and benefits to drain the Connecticut taxpayers. Cut their pensions and benefits.

Oh, that's right, many of these positions would be the ones voting to do what I suggest. Therefore, they would never cut themselves short. Better to spend public money, raise taxes and hurt the working slob.

Then they sit back and wonder why people are leaving Connecticut. Can we say "Duh"? Talk about "deplorable!"
