Could be time to move past parties

We do not have a budget here in Connecticut because our politicians do not hold themselves accountable for governance that ensures the quality of life for all of us as human beings. It is impossible to lead holding onto loyalty and to a label that follows along and manages within its ideologies and agendas. In serving labels and not people, the legislative process focuses on positioning and political games to win. We all end up losing.

Politicians don’t lead. Leadership requires collaboration with no agendas other than for the greatest good of all: equality, equity, shared power and resources, justice, dignity, and well-being. These are our core human values codified in the Constitution that this nation stands for.

Only through collaboration do we create the most effective solutions that merge polarities to achieve socialist-capitalism/capitalist-socialism and conservative-liberalism/liberal-conservatism that benefit everyone.

Perhaps it's time to end political parties with their partisan agendas and political gamesmanship and implement leadership "certification" for those running for office. Maybe then we will get something done that serves us all.
