Fantastic to see help for Houston

Lee Elci, local morning radio show host, mentioned on a Monday that Houston needed help. He said he would broadcast  from the Parade Plaza, looking for donations of bottled water. John Fuller, the station owner, provided a truck and staff people to help. The community responded with overwhelming support.

Elci broadcast that the truck was full and donations were piling up. Tom Moysey, owner of A.B. CDL Driver Training Center, called and offered to help with organizing the tractor-trailer and trucks. He provided two trucks and drivers; Bob's Discount Furniture supplied two trucks with two drivers, and DW Trucking added two trucks. Ted Marsh Racing provided a truck and JG Trucking provided a trailer.

Individuals and businesses of all sizes stepped up, resulting in eight trailers full of water with enough water on hand to require two round trips with four tracto- trailers. They delivered 350,000 bottles of water to FEMA's Collection Center in Houston.

These donations provided bottled water to Texas when many had nothing to drink. Great job, Lee, for starting this by sharing your thoughts and caring enough to make it happen.

When we talk about bringing America together, this is a great example.
