Mohegan gives gift of second chances for those in recovery

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) is an organization dedicated to helping people and their families with alcohol and substance abuse problems. Support from local organizations in southeastern Connecticut is essential to our mission.

The Mohegan Tribe has contributed to our programs here at SCADD, and perhaps more importantly, they have provided opportunities to our clients in their recovery.

Finding a job is an important step toward a better life in sobriety, and when presented with the right candidate, the Mohegan Tribe has provided our clients with the needed path toward success. The shared vision of our founders was to create a community program organized, staffed, operated and funded (in part) by the people of the region. The Mohegan Tribe has a long and important history in this region and has become an integral part of our efforts to serve the community. In this season of giving, it is important to recognize partners like the Mohegan Tribe who are crucial to us in our efforts.
