Consider supporting Amistad's mission with donation
As one response to the Discovering Amistad financial needs noted in The Day, “Urban says she will recommend eliminating Amistad funds to help restore Medicare cuts,” (Jan. 3), I am sending $200 to: Discovering Amistad, 129 Church Street, Suite 521, New Haven, CT 06510. See: DiscoveringAmistad.org.
If 500 other like-minded persons would do the same, Discovering Amistad would have $100,000 and be a viable and valuable source of pride for each of us and Connecticut in general. However, any amount of money, less or more than $200, would certainly be appreciated. Moving past the problems of the prior Amistad organization, I believe that Discovering Amistad can now fulfill the original intent of this beautiful boat built at our own Mystic Seaport.
I presently have no relationship with Discovering Amistad.
