Democrats should vote Mattei for attorney general, he exemplifies party ideals

As we approach the midterms, there has been much discussion about what it means to be a Democrat, and which principles and policies should guide our party forward. When I think about the future of our party, I think of Chris Mattei, candidate for Connecticut attorney general.

Mattei, a former assistant United States attorney, has dedicated his life to public service, and has consistently chosen to stand up for the most vulnerable in our community, and against those who exploit their power. Long before he entered the political arena, or asked for a single vote, Chris was there for those who needed him most – that’s what being a Democrat is all about.

Throughout his career, Chris never chose to take on the easy fights or represent the wealthiest clients.
