    Groupthink journalism distorts our politics

This is one “Deplorable” who has had it with this newspaper. Rather than focusing on issues, you utilize relentless invective, attacks on groups and individuals, selective and biased choices of headlines, articles, and out-of-context quotes which are all dishonest by omission and by misrepresentation.

Although I am a transparent Conservative who “discloses” my beliefs to my liberal friends, few ask about those beliefs or engage in discussions of the issues, and I am often subjected to thoughtless comments and innuendos modeled by The Day. Unless and until this paper and other over-the-top liberal media outlets foster true debate of issues, this country is in trouble.

As for collusion, your recent participation in the editorial blitz across the nation is actual collusion. This groupthink journalism seriously imperils any reasonable search for truth, and prompts reactions such as Rudolph Giuliani’s on Meet the Press (August 19) when he quite rightly pointed out it is difficult to discern the truth thanks to the coordinated media barrage that seeks to mask it.

When political agendas dominate the so-called news, there are indeed “alternative facts.” You know it and we Deplorables know it. Your readers deserve to know it too.
