Joan Esneault has been appointed director of sales for the Hilton Mystic and the Madison Beach Hotel, both owned by the Natick, Mass.-based Distinctive Hospitality Group.

Esneault will lead the hotels' sales, revenue and marketing initiatives, working closely with each property's general manager and sales team. A former vice president of resort sales at Foxwoods Resort Casino, she has spent nearly 20 years in senior leadership positions in hospitality sales and marketing.

Esneault has served such organizations as the Greater Mystic Visitors Bureau, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut.
