East Lyme - Appropriations to purchase a new software program for the Parks and Recreation Department and to fund additional hours for a part-time assistant building official are on the agenda of a special town meeting this week.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall.

The first item up for a vote is $15,213 for a software program, as well as training, that will allow online registrations and facility reservations for activities offered by the town's Parks and Recreation Department.

The second item is $12,500 for additional hours in the building department due to an increase in building permits and inspections, according to the agenda.
