Norwich Rotary diversity event postponed to Sept. 25
Norwich – The fifth annual Norwich Rotary Celebrate Diversity event, scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed to Monday, Sept. 25, at the Howard T. Brown Memorial Park at Norwich Harbor in anticipation of the tropical storm expected to hit the region Tuesday.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. and will feature presentations of the Lottie B. Scott Diversity Award to local activist Shiela Hayes and the Rotary Community Diversity Award to the Norwich Area Clergy Association.
Throughout the evening, participants can sample food from different ethnic groups and cultures and watch music and other performances by groups representing different cultures.
Tickets are $10 per person, $30 for groups of five. Children age 12 and under will be admitted free.
