To the Editor:

In the September 14, 2017, issue of the New London Times, I read an inspiring story by Nicholas Checker about a young swimmer’s success. Seidi Schiro’s story is fantastic in showing how a young girl and her family are working together for her success in aquatic competition.

Seidi attends St. Joseph School in New London, and my granddaughters know her well. It would have been a nice tip of the hat to St Joseph’s School and New London if Mr. Checker had mentioned that. St Jo’s is always so proud of its students’ successes at school, on the field and in any endeavor to benefit or uplift people.

Thank you for the New London Times and all the great stories that keep our community well informed.
