Groton Bank ghosts to be topic Monday
Groton — "Ghosts of Groton Bank" will be the theme of a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Groton Congregational Church hosted by the Groton Bank Historical Association.
The meeting at 162 Monument St. will start with social and friendship time at 6:30 p.m.
Local authors Hali Keeler, Leslie Evans and David Rose have written a history of the Groton Bank area and its spirits. "Ghosts of Groton Bank" traces possible ghost sightings in the area, including at the Anna Warner Bailey house on Thames Street.
The Groton Bank Historical Association was formed nearly 50 years ago to highlight the many fine old homes and the rich history of this historic village on the east bank of the Thames River.
