New London city clerk's office to host weekend hours to accept absentee ballots

New London — Mayor Michael Passero and City Clerk Jonathan Ayala have announced special city clerk office hours to provide additional voting services this weekend.

Staff from the city clerk’s office will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at City Hall to allow residents to fill out and submit absentee ballots.

The City Hall building will remain closed to the general public. Voters should go to the front door and will be allowed to enter one at a time. Voters will need to call (860) 447-5205 when outside of City Hall and staff will meet them at the door to provide further instructions.

Anyone who wishes to submit an absentee ballot must already be registered to vote, have a valid ID and will be required to fill out an absentee ballot application available on site. Completed absentee ballots can be dropped off in a drop box in front of City Hall.
