    Dunn’s triple-double (27 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists) leads Providence

Kris Dunn of New London recorded a triple-double Thursday afternoon in Providence College's 83-72 victory over DePaul in a Big East Conference men's basketball game at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

Dunn, a sophomore guard, finished with career highs of 27 points and 13 rebounds and added 11 assists. Dunn was the first Friar to accomplish that feat - double figures in three categiories - since Geoff McDermott did it Dec. 22, 2006, versus Harvard. Dunn's triple-double was the ninth in Friar history and the first for Providence in Big East play.

In the second half, DePaul's best chance came with 4 minutes, 6 seconds left when it reduced the Friars' 11-point lead to eight points after a layup and free throw by Tommy Hamilton. However, Dunn nailed one of his three 3-pointers to boost the lead back to 11 and seal the victory.

LaDontae Henton added 12 points for Providence (16-5, 6-2).
