    Tigers fall to Lake Monsters in 13

    Jesus Lage hit a walk-off single with one out in the 13th inning, as the host Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Connecticut Tigers 6-5 in a New york-Penn League baseball game on Sunday.

    Anthony Churlin scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a double.

    The Lake Monsters (32-26) tied the game 5-5 when Jordan Devencenzi hit an RBI double, driving in Will Toffey in the seventh.

    Vermont starter Oscar Tovar allowed four runs and six hits over six innings. He also struck out two and walked two. Wandisson Charles (2-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Max Green (1-2) took the loss.

    Logan Farrar homered and singled three times, driving home two runs in the win.

    Luke Burch and Jordan Pearce had two hits each for the Tigers (25-29) and Pearce drove in two runs.
