    Local college roundup: Conn College rolls to men's lacrosse win

    New London — Maxx Trotsky scored two goals and had two assists as No. 20 Connecticut College beat Johnson & Wales 19-2 in a nonleague men's lacrosse game on Monday.

    Jordan Foster and A.J. Vazquez had two goals and an assist each, Charlie Bernicke, Jack Rutter, Jack Bertolini and Winston Palmeri had two goals each Ryan Fish had a goal and an assist, PJ Kelleher had a goal and three assists, Jon Creed had a goal and two assists and Mike Lynch had two assists for Conn (5-1).

    In other games:

    • Regis rallied from a 3-0 deficit after one quarter to beat Mitchell College 14-7 in a nonleague game. Former Montville standout Kyle Marsh had three goals and two assists to lead Mitchell (0-4) and teammate Jack Dalton scored twice.

    • Coast Guard's game at New York Maritime on Wednesday has been postponed to Thursday at 5 p.m.

    Baseball

    • UConn's home opener, scheduled for Tuesday against Quinnipiac, has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at J.O. Christian Field. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 4 at 4 p.m. UConn was scheduled to play at Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, but that game has been moved up to Tuesday at 3 p.m.

    The Huskies (9-7) have played their first 16 games on the road, tying a program record set in 1995.

    Softball

    • Coast Guard's doubleheader at Roger Williams on Tuesday, has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

    • Mitchell College's doubleheader against Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday in New London has also been postponed, with no makeup date announced.
