Navy jazz band hits the high notes at Coast Guard Academy

Musician 1st Class Kristine Hsia sings as fellow members of the U.S. Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble perform Sunday at Leamy Hall at the Coast Guard Academy in New London. The Commodores, founded in 1969, have performed at jazz festivals and appeared on television. The jazz ensemble is part of the Navy Band. Hsia, a native of Holbrook, N.Y., joined the Navy Band this year after serving as lead vocalist with the U.S. 7th Fleet Band in Yokosuka, Japan.
