    Downey remembered in New London

    The flag flies at half-staff Tuesday at Fort Trumbull State Park in New London. Gov. Malloy directed that the U.S. and Connecticut state flags fly at half-staff in honor of John T. Downey, a Connecticut judge who was the longest held captive in American history; he spent more than 20 years as a Cold War prisoner in China.
