Mystic - A professional wrestling and variety show fundraiser will be held Feb. 28 at the Mystic VFW on Route 1 for Navy veteran and Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department firefighter/EMT Jim Sajkowicz, who recently underwent serious neck surgery.

The Mystic VFW Men's Auxiliary in association with Veterans Pro Wrestling is hosting the 6 p.m. fundraiser. The VFW is asking for a $10 donation at the door and the donation of a canned good that will go to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. Reservations can be made ahead of time or donations can be made to Sajkowicz and dropped off at the VFW or by calling (860) 536-3682.

Numerous professional wrestlers will appear on the card. Veterans Pro Wrestling is designed to help raise money for first responders, veterans and their families during their time of need.

The finale match will be the official Ox Baker Battle Royale named after WWE legend and former Danielson resident Ox Baker.
