Fundraiser to help Groton family who lost belongings, pets in house fire

A pizza fundraiser will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at The Bridge Market in Groton for Burton Fraser and his 10-year-old son, who lost all of their belongings and their two dogs in a Feb. 10 fire at 168 Indian Field Road.

The Bridge Market, the Claude Chester Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization and the Groton Mystic Youth Football League are co-sponsoring the event, along with teachers who are volunteering.

Tickets are $10 per person for all-you-can-eat pizza, salad and soda or water.

The pizza party also will include a basket raffle, said Karen Dole, owner of The Bridge Market.
