Stonington development guide to get hearings in March, April

Stonington - The town will hold two public hearings on the proposed 2015 Plan of Conservation and Development on March 25 and April 14.

The Board of Selectmen will hold its hearing on March 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Stonington High School Commons. The board will listen to public comments and make recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission, which is responsible for adopting the final plan.

The PZC will hold its public hearing on April 14 at 7 p.m. at Mystic Middle School. It may vote to adopt the plan that night. The plan can be found in the Planning Department section at www.stonington-ct.gov.

The POCD is intended to guide the development of the town over the next decade. A committee has held hearings and used those suggestions to help it draft the proposal. Written comments can be emailed to kbrynes@stonington-ct.gov or mailed to the Stonington Department of Planning, 152 Elm St., Stonington, CT 06378.
