The state boat launches on the Thames River in Groton and New London are expected to be without floating docks until the end of June.
Dennis Schain, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, said Tuesday that the floating docks at the Thames River Boat Launch in New London and the Kenneth E. Streeter Boat Launch in Groton are being replaced and that there "have been some issues with availability of suitable materials."
According to DEEP's website, floating docks usually are installed at state boat launches by April 15 each year and removed on Nov. 15.
