Norwich receives three bids to restore wooden flooring in City Hall
Norwich – The city received three bids today to remove modern tile flooring and restore the historic wooden flooring in City Hall.
Bids opened Thursday ranged from a low of $185,050 submitted by Advanced Improvements of Mystic to the high bid of $308,000 by Kronenberger & Sons Restoration of Middletown. G. Schnip Construction of Norwich bid $$209,902 for the project.
The city received approval from the state for a grant to cover half the cost up to a certain amount, City Comptroller Josh Pothier said.
Purchasing agent William Hathaway said the bids will be turned over to the city Public Works Department for review and to select a qualified preferred bidder.
