Passero, Finizio to debate Aug. 27 in New London

City Councilor Michael Passero, the nominee of the New London Democratic Town Committee, and Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio, who is challenging him in the Democratic primary, have agreed to debate on Aug. 27, according to Day Editorial Page Editor Paul Choiniere.
Choiniere said he expects a high level of interest in the debate and the first order of business was finding a date both campaigns could agree upon. Details on location, time and format will follow in coming days.
The primary is set for Sept. 16.
