    24 hours of Moby Dick at Mystic Seaport

    Mystic — Bill Steinmayer, portraying author Herman Melville, opened the Mystic Seaport's 30th annual Moby Dick Marathon reciting the first chapter from memory Friday onboard the historic whaleship Charles W. Morgan. Steinmayer's recitation was followed by volunteers reading the book over the course of the next 24 hours.
