Norwich — Police on Monday advised residents in and around the Cedar Street area that a skunk from that neighborhood has tested positive for rabies.
Police are asking any resident from that area who may have come in contact with skunks to contact the Uncas Health District as a precaution. The health district can be reached at (860) 823-1189, or via email at www.uncashd.org.
The health district reminded the public to avoid contact with any wild animals should be avoided, even if they appear healthy.
