Groton — The American Federation of Teachers has endorsed Town Councilor Patrice Granatosky in the upcoming election, the Groton Democratic Town Committee announced.

Granatosky, who served more than 20 years on the Representative Town Meeting, holds the council seat held by Genevieve Cerf, who resigned in July.

Granatosky teaches civics and American government at Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School in Groton and has a master’s degree in industrial technology.
