This Sunday: Mel Brooks here, Shakespeare there
Two very different shows kick off at 7 p.m. on Sunday night, not far from each other in New London.
Mel Brooks' musical comedy "The Producers" comes to the Garde Arts Center, courtesy of Big League's national tour. Zaniness rules.

Then, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church at 10 Huntington St., Flock Theatre presents "Macbeth."
This annual production will feature giant shadow puppetry and life-size puppets, in addition to live acting. Eric Michaelian of New London and Amy Bentley of East Lyme star.
